It's called Microsoft's "Launch Parity" clause, which states that games must be shipped on Xbox platforms before, or at the same time, as other platforms. If you google the Parity clause, it appears that after the launch of the Xbone the rules have been "loosened" and are judged by a case by case basis. Keep in mind that this news is well after the Timespinner Kickstarter finished (almost a whole year!), which explains my past decisions.
I'd like to say that while a Timespinner port to Xbone and WiiU are not planned, it doesn't mean that they are completely off the table. I'm only one person after all, and I need to focus on the platforms that I have actually made concrete promises on.
After I release Timespinner on the promised platforms, then I will start thinking about porting to other platforms. That is if I haven't completely burned myself out. So there's still a glimmer of hope for you
