In my topic in General Discussion I mentioned other 'time travel metroidvania' games with Bunny Must Die! and Aeternoblade. I thought I aught to make a post telling a bit more about them, since people were interested...
Bunny Must Die!/Chelsea & the 7 Devils is two games in one, really. The first game is Bunny Must Die!, and completing it with the good ending unlocks the second game. Bunny is a bunnygirl who, of course, has time manipulation powers, because bunny. Its controls are precise, in the kind of 'Prince of Persia' way that can feel a bit awkward until you get a feel for how far/angle she jumps with each type of jump, etc, but they work fine for the game, since it's designed around them. it can be very hard, sometimes compared to I Wanna Be The Guy, but that's a rather unfair comparison since while it's difficult, it's not 'learn the cheap deaths' difficult, it's 'figure out how to get through an area presented to you' difficult.
Currently available on Steam, and on sale, to boot:

I suggest using the classic graphics. it makes the third boss much more hillarious.
Aeternoblade is a sort of mix of Castlevania and God of War style gameplay. Similar to Mirror of Fate, but leaning more to the Castlevania side than the GoW side, using only lots of 'gated' rooms to kill all enemies and an orb system for upgrading, as opposed to 'flat linear path'. Freya (coincidentally named) uses a weapon, the Aeternoblade, to manipulate time to both solve puzzles and save herself from death, eventually upgrading it to gain more abilities in the traditional fashion. It's immensely satisfying when you realize how you can use the time powers to completely stomp on enemies that used to give you trouble before.
Only available on 3DS, it has a demo available that lets you play around in the first stage, but with most of your upgraded combat abilities. It's an engaging game, but if you don't like the combat flow/etc, I'd give it a pass...it has a *LOT* of combat, though satisfying puzzle solving at the same time.
