Frost Whip:

Basic use is short but quick attacks, but when powered up the whip can reach farther and farther, and gives long and longer duration of a movement slowdown. Max power could freeze enemies into ice cubes to be climbed as well. This would appear as a more circular weapon, orbiting around Lunais' waist level, the frost energy whipping out from it.

I believe this might be worth implementing for several reasons. A slowness debuff, is another type of ability a speed runner could use to have an interesting run. It adds more depth by being a different style of weapon in terms of how it is animated as well. Could be used as a homage to SoM, by using it to get to in accessible spots? And well... who doesn't like whips when exploring dungeons full of treasure *points to Indiana Jones*.

Shadow Orbs:

Basic attack should mimic the normal starting orbs, only be dark and shadowy, however the charges should be as follows. First level grants 5 seconds of 'invisibility' from the AI. The AI will still move around, and possibly attack randomly, while Lunais will have a neat shadow effect upon her. Second level mimics the starting orbs, while the third level does some damage to all nearby enemies.

I believe this would be a fun and useful mix, as it allows the weapon to remain damaging, yet adds another interesting effect that could effect speed running, additionally, while not the best choice weapon vs a boss, it does still help in situations where you cannot get a clear shot at your enemies, making this weapon a consideration for use by players, instead of just a throw away trick. Optionally instead of making the player invisible, it could blind an opponent if that feels more balanced.

here is an idea for the red (fire) orbs

Melee: a flame sword (short range), or a whip to put some more castelvania reference in it :D
ranged: a fire breath, not going as far across the screen as the blue orbs but being in sort of cone so it hits a bigger aera

Ouroboros Orb:
(or simply Dragon Orb)

Basic attacks fire spirit dragons (like serpents) forwards. Charging would allow dragons to continue to move on the screen and attack enemies. While dragons are on screen from a charge maneuver, basic attacks could fire fireballs from their mouths, increasing the damage and chaos of it all, making it a bit of a two part attack which is an interesting mechanic to think about.

The Ouroboros symbol, in some ways refers to time. In Hindu cultures, it is referred to as Kalasharpa, or time serpent. This is a great way to bring dragons into the game, without it being a just because type thing. The abilities of this orb could easily be changed to many things, I mainly put this here as a starting concept of how to bring dragons into this.

This idea isn't an attacking orb idea, more like a puzzle solving/status inducing orb idea: What if an orb gave Lunais the power to create short time loops? Imagine trapping an object or an enemy in a recurring loop of time to solve a puzzle or defeat an enemy. For example, Lunais could spin a fan or a gear by hand, and then trap it in a time loop so that it will continuously spin while Lunais can go do something else to help solve a puzzle.

so my orb idea is more of Melee orb, it changes shape/form for each attack nothing big.

so the default blue orbs have this 1-2 constant attack but how bout an orb that on first attack it just gets a bit large when thrown out, the 2nd attack it changes into a cube, and then the third attack you drop a icicle like shape from above the enemy and as you progress you can further extend the combo so that it changes into more things as the combo goes on? just an idea

One idea also is to create sets that give a bonus if all equipped (like the Alucart equipment in SotN)

As for orbs how about a Calming orb. This can make some normal enemies non aggressive unless attacked (collision will damage, but they do not try to attack or engage the character).

Lastly, an orb called Easter Egg. Does random joke effects and is only found late game.

For me, I've always been a sucker for Lightning stuff. Like...just a single bolt, jolting from your hand that chains from enemy to enemy. Now, lets also think how powers we'd like to see...goes in with how Timespinner is. Like...what could Lightning do for the time stop ability? A second use kind of...like maybe it could be customized to deal less damage, but when an enemy gets zapped, they are magnetically drawn to the nearest surface. Or, like mentioned before...it could be one very strong bolt that strikes across the screen...or a weaker bolt that jumps from enemy to enemy.
