I remember this idea being discussed in the kickstarter chat between myself, Morningstar and Linestar:

Arcus Orb
(Coloration: rainbow colored, with rings of color moving from the middle to the outer rings like it's flowing from the center and over the edges)
1. Fires a white laser
2. Charged midway, it fires a larger, more powerful white beam
3. Fully charged, it fires a large white laser with rainbow colors on the edges -or - fires a spread of white lasers

The orb's abilities were never discussed, so I came up with them myself. The reason I thought the laser would be white is because white is considered, if memory serves correctly, the result of the entire color spectrum combined. The fully charged version was inspired by an ability Dark Demon used during the final boss battle of Dynamite Headdy, but, obviously, I wouldn't expect it to be THAT big ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLDs4KPtEgQ skip to 1:57 ).

Time Orbs, can be balanced by preventing the enemy from taking damage while frozen in time.

The current plan is to have 3 equipment slots:
- Melee Orb: Orb equipped in this slot will grant a free (usually close-ranged) attack. Example: Blue Orb in the Melee slot gives a quick short ranged jab attack. The Green Orb in the Melee slot will be a slower, but larger arc attack with a sword.
- Special/Ranged Orb: Orb equipped in this slot will give a high powered ability that either requires charging or uses up consumables. Example: Blue Orb in the Special slot gives a MegamanX style Buster Charge shot. The Green Orb in the special slot gives a screen-sized Blade attack that consumes a limited resource (ex: hearts).
- Passive Ability: Does neat stuff, regardless of what you have equipped. Can sometimes work with the equipped Orbs to enhance existing attacks, but will usually not interact with equipped Orbs. Example: Protect Aura will cause orbs orbiting the character to deal damage when colliding with enemies.

Ah, I see now, so pretty much like Souls system in AoS/DoS

The AoS/DoS system though was slightly different in that the second type of soul was an ability triggered by the shoulder button, and the first was a standard subweapon type. (Bullet soul it was called)

What do you mean, idea? The way I decided to remember it, it's already part of the game! And will be used in my future fanarts to further spread the word. >:3

i had the idea of a frost orb, when charged could freeze the enemy, but now i saw the time stop orb, that much more flavor great idea ;)
